My grandmaster in Bujinkan (Dr. Masaake Hasumi’s) own grandmaster would go to bed around 21.30 and get up in the morning 6 O’Clock. That would give him 8½ hours of sleep. Most top athlets today are getting 8½-12 hours of sleep. 6-7 weeks before important competitions they usually increase their sleeping regime to about 10 hours of sleep. It is in the deep sleep you get stronger. Training just gives your body a stimulation to start building it self stronger. It is while you are in deep sleep your body actually responds to the stimulation and actually builds it self stronger.
Train hard – Rest hard
